Partnerships with parents are superb…. Parents express their love of the nursery and speak highly of the ‘amazing’ staff team and inviting environment. They praise staff for their invaluable support, not just for their children but their whole family, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The manager rigorously monitors the impact of the curriculum, staff practice and children’s progress… Her drive for improvement is uncompromising. The ethos and vision for the setting are ambitious and focus on children’s positive outcomes. These are shared by the passionate and enthusiastic staff.”

“Staff report a high level of well-being…Staff praise the way in which the management team promotes their personal and professional development. This results in extremely low staff turnover and a highly collaborative working environment.”

Outstanding Ofsted inspection report 2022

“All nurseries give the ‘every child is unique’ speech, but that really is the case at Puss In Boots… What you don’t see is all the strategy going on behind the mud pies and tambourines. ..Children are encouraged to work things out for themselves, so there’s lots of play-centred development.

Tatler magazine’s guide to UK best nurseries

Thank you for everything you have done to support my research, everyone has been so kind and welcoming….it is such a pleasure to have been able to spend time at Puss In Boots. I loved being surrounded by such real happiness – I always keep smiling for hours after I visit. What a magical place it is. The children here are so lucky. I do feel very lucky to have done research here – I couldn’t imagine a more welcoming and joyful place.

For the rest of my PhD and hopefully future research too, I’ll always remember and be inspired by the children here, and all of you too.

“Puss in boots came highly recommended by two very opposite pairs of friends. Both said not to bother searching around and I trusted them. They could not be more accurate. It is a place of warmth and kindness. Both our daughters never made a fuss about being dropped off and often forgot to say bye and kiss us! The staff are approachable and loving and I look forward to bringing number 3 in a couple of years time!”

I. Gafson parent 2019 – 2022

“Puss in Boots is an absolutely wonderful nursery – we all miss being there. The brilliant teachers really understand childrens’ development, and they work tirelessly to facilitate and support it. They provide carefully planned spaces and opportunities, and create the best environment for the children to flourish – without any need to push them to do things before they are ready. The result is happy and confident kids who thrive at school, academically and socially, and have a lovely group of local friends”

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for hosting my colleagues and I last week. It was great to come to Puss in Boots and see the wonderful facilities you have to offer! It was great to speak to you and to see so many happy children is a real credit to you and your team.

Kash Palmer – Early Years Workforce Unit – Department for Education

“Puss in Boots was a home from home for my two boys, now age 8 and 10. Between them PIB was part of our lives for the best part of four years and it was a wrench to say goodbye.

Amelia and her team of wonderful teachers offer the very best in pre-school care, preparing children for big school. They allow the children to learn through play and creativity, whilst being in tune with their individual interests. When my son suddenly became interested in telling stories, Amelia decided that they would start writing them down – she became Joe’s personal secretary!

Every day when the boys arrived there was something new and interesting for them to play with. The teachers were always there to chat through any concerns or worries too and the boys still talk about their teachers with huge affection.  If every child had access to somewhere like PIB, the world would be a happier place.”

Catherine – parent – testimonial written 2022

“I could not have predicted how amazing my work experience would be… The children at puss in Boots are so lucky to have teachers that are so fun, kind and supportive and I feel immensely lucky to have spent 2 weeks with you.”
